T-Mobile the uncarrier
SuperGraphics is a large format printer specializing in experiential graphics for environments, retail, event, and fleet; with many national giant companies. One of their clients was T-Mobile the Uncarrier. Everything from entire retail store signage sets, to construction wall barricade signage to corporate office decor requests including fabric faced lightboxes, snap frame art, dimensional logos and lettering, illuminated wall signage, wall murals, vinyl window graphics and more. If you know anything of T-Mobile you are most likely aware of their “Magenta” color choice, I learned quickly that this is not to be called “pink” but you would likely be just as surprised to know that hitting that exact shade of 100% magenta across digital, physical, print, lit, unlit and paint mediums is an obstacle that boggles the mind but this happens to be one of my particular specialties as a creative producer. The complexity of the match is monumental since everything is displayed all at once in the same area. There is very little forgiveness for mismatches in an instance like this. To set about this task: start somewhere, for me that was assembling everything we had thus far and then “dialing it in” from there. Particularly challenging was the paint match, the current choice left much to be desired and was “murky” missing the signature “pop” that the brand itself commands. Working with our team of experts, the paint manufacture specialists plus a lot of trial and error we remedied this and got back on track with a formula that everyone was very happy with!
My favorite project was for the Snoqualmie Headquarters and was for the Un-Sung Heroes Recognition Program, aimed at honoring and recognizing the many employees who had previously served in the United States Armed Force branches. Their current signage did not do it justice, but they had this really cool “superman/woman-esque” logo and so our team of industry experts brainstormed together on a design for an internally illuminated LED cabinet sign utilizing direct-printed acrylic push-thru technology as well as magenta halo illumination on the back wall and a classy brushed aluminum backer to give it added pizzazz. All while making it easy to change by the team at the headquarters. The result was undeniable stopping passersby in their tracks with oos and aahs, plus it only took a couple minutes to get the first group of candidates recognized. Thank you for your sacrifice and service!
