DeCa defense commissary agencies

DeCA Defense Commissary Agencies wanted a new look and feel across their many locations nationwide new or existing so the team at I-5 Design & Manufacture was contracted to do just that. This was accomplished using architectural CAD drawings of the new or existing spaces, site survey, measurements and photos when available to first create a 3D model of the existing space and then build décor elements that would be compatible across the varying sizes and locations. Review with the team to look for potential pitfalls or make necessary adjustments before finalizing the additions in the CAD drawings for final approval. Utilizing elements such as suspended wood trellises with stainless steel or brushed aluminum accents, direct-printed styrene banners in varying sizes and colors for each of the departments, paint and trim specifications, dimensional lettering, soffits with LED internal or uplighting behind lettering to distinguish departments clearly, flag mounted wood signage, aisle markers, direct printed logo art for the checkout and customer service area. The result was full unique store locations with a very similar look and feel that could be pre-assembled in a manufacturing facility, shipped to the location and installed using drawings created with the original designs in very short timelines creating minimal disruption. Helping to level set expectations, create installation packages complete with drawings, measurements, electrical locations, markings, warnings and discussion notes. If you fail to prepare you are preparing to fail. Of course, there is always room for the unexpected or unanticipated but this up-front planning methodology created a fairly seamless process and minimized the amount of unknowns as much as was possible. The issues that were found were able to be resolved fairly quickly and smoothly by the team of experts involved, together as a united team.
